It took me a long time to decide to do this painting but it gripped my heart and the pure sunlight drew me like a moth to a flame, and I couldn’t walk away from it. I guess it challenges our idea of what is conventionally beautiful, but everything in nature is beautiful and valid.

In my work I like to help people to see things they might not normally notice because sometimes they are the most extraordinary and enliven our sense of wonder.
